Feel the Bern!!!
Bernie Sanders isn't just trying to get the democratic nomination he is trying to change politics and the way politics work in this country. His movement has encouraged and shaken up young people all across the country. He is educating those who know nothing of the way things work and the political game, and challenges, in the nomination process.
With an average of $30 dollars per donation he has fueled his campaign and shown that it is possible to take on Wall Street and Billionaire moguls in the presidential race. He has not only kept up with Hillary Clinton, he has challenged the whole process. Bernie Sanders has kept pretty close to Hillary Clinton, in the run.
Sanders is a Socialist, a word people are afraid of. People are afraid of change, they equate Socialism with Communism. Left over fear from the Cold War of the 70's and 80's. Sander's wants to tear apart Wall Street, give each person a vote that counts, require free education and health benefits. He's honest when he told us he will pay for these things with more taxes, but it works pretty well for several other countries. Denmark, Sweden, and France are all socialized, as well as others. Everyone should be able to see a doctor, specialist, or surgeon. Everyone should have access to quality higher education.
Bernie is pushing his points, literally and figuratively. He is a man of action. We need a new system and his movement offers that. He is also fighting for equal pay for equal work. Women should not be getting paid less than a man for doing the same work. This is 2016 not 1906. SO if we can be brave enough to push Sanders through we can see real change, real progress.
