#EarthDay: As Paris Deal Is Signed, Gulf Coast Residents Demand End to Drilling – Entirely

In this article from Democracy Now! Amy Goodman sits down and discusses the issue of climate change with Antonia Juhasz who is a reporter that covered the BP Gulf Oil spill just six years ago. Amy Goodman discusses how Earth Day brought thousands of demonstrators together in Paris to march on to draw attention to how the oil industry is contributing to climate change. The framing that these activist used for their cause to gather up the thousands to march on earth day was that I 2016 our world has experienced record temperatures within the first three months of the year and in 2015 we experienced the warmest year on record. This was an excellent use of framing by these activist to gather up people to march and become passionate because it shows that climate change is real and climate change is happening.

Great Barrier Reef More Than 90% Bleached

In this article the topic of discussion is climate change. The article reads that over 90% of the Great Barrier Reef has become "bleached", which occurs when the climate of the water changes. The article explains the dangers of this occurrence because when the coral becomes bleached it is killed off and coral serves as a home to over a quarter of all marine life. This article did an excellent job at framing their cause that climate change is occurring and damaging marine life. In the previous article and in this article both activist groups use scientist to back their claims that climate change is damaging the earth and marine life. Overall these article both share similarities because they both are looking at the impact of climate change and how it is damaging earth life
