SNARL: Movie and flyers
Our group, SNARL (Spay/Neuter, Adopt, Rescue, Love) hosted a documentary movie "Unity" on Earth Day, April 21, 2016.
We posted flyers across the campus advertising and inviting students. Some of our team posted the ad on their Facebook page.
"Unity" is a documentary that is a visually stunning and shocking. The narration is done by many different celebrities, including Ellen DeGeneres and Dr. Dre. The documentary expresses the view of our connectivity to all living things on earth. We universally occupy and share earth, "aren't we all earthlings?"
It shows how destructive we as human beings are, the death of animals for our consumption, as scripture is interpreted people justify killing of animals for consumption and enthanizing domesticated animals, like dog and cats, as our God given rights of dominion over all animals. "Unity" shows the vileness of this idealization. It links the serious health consequences of our diets to the consumptive lifestyle. Humans create wars, perform murder, genocide, infacide, and so many heinous acts, as a means to an end…usually the end sought is related to ego and it's need for power. To control dominate, to feel good, and in it's interpretation of security. The holocost is an example. Hitler, who was neither blue eyed or bond sought eugenics, eliminating all diversity of people who were not blue eyed with blond hair. The rony, of his plan for World domination and the perfect race. As humans we are diverse, it is part of the beauty of our species.
"Unity" pulls the covers and shows how We are all interconnected in a very profound way.
UNiverse + humanITY = UNITY
