Summary Democracy Now - As Sanders Sweeps 3 States, Meet the Young Immigrant Activist Helping Him Mobilize Latinos
The race to the White House, Erika Andiola immigrant activist from Arizona, explain the reasons why Bernie Sanders supports are making a difference in closing the gap for the super delegates who is free to support democratic party candidates of their choosing. Erika Andiola, first explain the reason why she believe Bernie Sander is the best candidate at this time and mostly is because Bernie Sander has an integrity that other candidates do not have. An example of this is that in the past, Bernie supported the plied of the Illegal migrant workers and the barrier to Mexican American to exercise their constitutional right to exercise the right vote. Andiola explains why she supports Bernie, because Mexicans are constantly targeted by (ICE) Immigration and Customs Enforcement. And government institution that in the past have raided neighborhood where illegal documented live. Andiola sees there is a political problem for the nation that wants to work Mexican out of the country but forget that these are people who have families and contribute to the nation's economy. She suggests that in the past when the Latino community wanted the support of political reform to passed, they saw that there was support beheaded but the language of the reform indicated that what was being put forward by a legislator was nothing more than a legal form of slavery. Something that many supported, but digress once it was apparent that it would not help the illegal immigrants to get their national documentation.
The collective action from the Latin community is a collective of several organizations interested in supporting equal right for illegal migrant wages, as well to increase a diverse population of ideas in a democratic nation. Furthermore, political opportunity is based on timing. The election campaign of 2016 between Hillary and Bernie displays a show these two candidates are able and effective but most importantly able to gather votes from the people based upon their platform ideas. Erika Andiola early in the interview she explains that many analysts discounted Bernie as a possible candidate early in the race, now that Bernie is getting support from the newer people on ideas of free education and increase in living standard reform. Many of the earlier generations have to increase the Bernie supports to a new high and could possibly win the nomination. However, political opportunity allows for the collective movement of civilian action to support candidates. It does not mean that candidates have a guarantee shoot to materialize the promises unless the support he or she receives is greater of the opposite candidate who runs on a different or possibly similar platform.
