"Donald Trump Wants to Commit War Crimes and Neocons Still Think He's Too Moderate"

This article brought to attention that Donald Trump states that if he is elected in office he will implement torture techniques such as waterboarding and other forms of torture to gain information from those in question. The article also states that Donald Trump suggest we should resolve to the killing of family members who are linked to terrorist. Although Donald Trump proposes these strategies, the article highlights that they are illegal and would be in direct violation of the Geneva Convention. We must wake up as a nation and stop Trump! Enough is enough we can no longer allow Trump to spread hatred towards those who are Muslim and promote violence. Our future president should stand for spreading peace not torture.

The Fight to Keep Abortion Safe & Legal: A Special Report from Outside the U.S. Supreme Court

In this article the reporter Amy Littlefield covered the protest of 100s that made the journey all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court to stand together against the HB 2 abortion law that is requiring abortion clinics in Texas to meet a list of requirements or be forced to shut down. The story includes transcripts from many supporters who made the journey to Washington D.C. In doing so those being interviewed were concerned that women's' reproductive health care would become inaccessible because the clinics would not be able to meet the requirements of the bill. The article states that this is the most "significant abortion case in the last 25 years". The reason I selected this article was because last week in class we briefly discussed this bill which, prior to the discussion I was unaware of. I feel that this bill is an attempt by Texas officials to completely eliminate abortion access by applying unreasonable requirements on the clinics that currently provide abortions.
