Activists Protest "Displacement from Brooklyn to Palestine" Inside Brooklyn Museum

            In New York about 150 activists organized at the Brooklyn Museum and protested against the normalization of oppression, displacement, and dispossession of the people of Israeli. The photography, according to the article has been said to have been funded by the Israeli government. Protestors had on their banners that said, "decolonize this place" and "displacement destroys culture" and indigenous Arabic names as labels to the photographs in the Museum. This article highlights resource mobilization as one of it's main theories, because of the organizing effort at the Museum.

Australian MP Sets River on Fire to Protest Fracking

            Jeremy Buckingham an Australian Politician is seen in a video setting the river on fire to protest against the fracking that's being done in Australia. The video was taken in South West Queensland by the Condamine River where fracking was taking place a kilometer away. Methane is bubbling in the river as the politician lights it up. The theory of framing is present as the video posted on the internet sends a message to the world of the dangers of Fracking.
