I participated in the march that began at the free speech area and watched the Women's perform. I thought they were great and comical and also at the same time very cute! I have never participated in a march before and I found it interesting in many ways. First of all, I got to meet some of my classmates and interacted with them even though I never knew them and that was great. As we continue marching near the Joyals building some students where shouting out what our signs were saying and I thought about how brave they were. Then we continued onto the sidewalk of the street and cars started to honk at us and giving us a boost of excitement. I really enjoyed that, it shows there support. Some students were very active and were having a great time. Since that was my first time ever I didn't do much but held the sign high. A lot of the signs were interesting and reasonable. I thought this was a great march because it wasn't like we were yelling and shouting we were calm and just wanted to show more appreciation to what we had to say on our signs. Some times during the march some students in the march even shouted loudly together too. I even saw random people who wanted to take pictures of the march and actually stopped some people behind us and asked if they can get a picture of them. Then we continued walking near the dorms and a lot of students were looking at us and I saw so many smiles on there faces and it was nice because with just a smile you can tell they supported us. It was fun. Thank you so much for the opportunity, it was a great experience and it was also my first time ever!
