Event: Chalking on Fresno State Campus
On Wednesday March 2, at approximately 5:30, the team for SNARL, spay neuter, adopt, rescue love organization (Josie, Lana, Derrick, and Murlot). We went to the free speed area, in-between the Peace Garden and the Social Work class building and chalked our messages:
2.7 Million adoptable pets are killed annually
Adopt Don't Shop
Every 13 seconds an animal is euthanized
March with us March 4 at 1 pm, events start at 11
We also have a very nicely depiction of a large picture of a dog and a cat.
We wanted to inform the students of the seriousness of the over population of adoptable cats and dogs. Futher, the chalking informed the march and event start time for participation. As we were chalking some students came by and we were able to inform them and invite them to march with us.
Chalking is a very creative way to get your message out there. It creates curiosity and people slow down to read it.
We had fun doing it too.
