In summarizing this article the first thing that come to my attention is the fact that Melina Abdullah who is one of the founding members of the Black Lives Matter movement is making a statement to Democracy now how the people should not endorses any presidential candidate. Also what bothers me is that she is simply telling people not to vote. I feel she is contradicting on your statements. It sounds to me that she doesn't want anyone to vote for any candidate period. She goes on to give her statements on why. One of them is invest in freeing the blacks. This is wrong because of all the laws this country has passed so they can be free. Take for example; Jim Crow laws, The Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. One other thing reason she doesn't want the blacks to vote is because she feels that they are controlled by monies, and that is hugely problematic and disempowering and oppressive to black people, not the whites or blacks. In my response to this I would have to say if I had money to give to any candidate that is my free speech. No one should tell some elsewhere or to whom I give the money to. I just want to add that, yes it's about intersections between race and class. However it's been like this since I can remember. I feel that this situation will need change, we have to have a plan, ideas and new laws to combat these issues. In my conclusion I feel that no matter who is elect president, its up to the people to make that change not our government or politicians
