Flint vs Government

David Baltierra

Michigan's water wars

This article summarizes what can happen when not just a person or consumer, but a city like Flint, Michigan intended to be fugal in saving $ 5 million. In flint things were just fine until this happened.  In my readies it has come to my attention that it wasn't just the hiring of Rick Snyder for the city manager but it was a coordinated, aggressive effort to privatize their water system, and this is how there are in a poisoned water catastrophe. It's not just a water problem but I believe it's due to political problem. I would seem to me that the city and the politicians really don't care about the residents of Flint.  Since the city has an African American mayor in the size of the city. I also feel that this is has a play in what is really happing there. With all of these issues going on they want to fire the governor. There's many people around the state who feel like his response to this crisis has been inadequate and really a violation of human rights. One other thing that I have done research is that at Flint the overall population is African American and the social encomia statics is low in Flint. They don't have the resources to or capital to back them up.  In regards to how they go about their way of life it's a shame that after a few shower and washing their clothes that the flint residents began to complain about the smell and discolored water which they are unable to drink or even give water to their children. In conclusion for one thing is to get rid of the governor and the major. Second thing is to march to the capital and start a movement to show what is happing in Flint.
