Extra credit march

Before we began to march a small recital was put on by a group called the Raging Grannies. It was a great experience to witness elders who are outspoken and speak for themselves because we typically view elders as dependents. The part that stood out to me the most with the Raging Grannies was their explicit vocabulary. It didn't stand out to me because I was offended but because that's how society is now a days especially with the youth so therefore it was nice being able to relate and be into what was being said and the message behind it. Another thing that caught my eye was the amount of signs that were made all with similar or even different messages. It was great knowing none the less feeling that we were able to express ourselves freely of course in a respectful manner and the fact that students or the public actually noticed due to the cooperation amongst all of us working and marching together. It was an eye opener for me because I always believe what we have to say doesn't really matter that is why I really wanted to participate in this march which is when we were told we can express whatever we want on the posters. It wasn't strictly for a certain reason it made me and I'm everyone else feel like they had a voice and had everyone that was participating in the march supporting them and their beliefs and views. I believe bodies of students and even elders or people of any race and age should do this more often because it is very effective and can help society be more at ease per say it gives people a chance to express themselves and feel free and possibly even relieve stress. I myself would participate in a similar even again if given the opportunity because there are constant issue and problems worldwide that effect us all and I have a right to my own opinion and express it freely!
