My experience at the Multi-Issue Day of Action on March 4, 2016 at California State University, Fresno was a great one. I had made it in time to start the march. I unfortunately wasn't able to make a sign but I did admire the ones I saw and even supported some. There were numerous issues that were brought up that included drought, world hunger, education, women's rights, gender equality, injustice in the criminal system, politics, animal rights etc. During the march there was a little bit of chanting. We did get the attention of passersby's during the march. I met a really awesome woman who is a double major and mentioned how women studies have changed her life and how she was born to be an activist. After the march I browsed around the booths and got distracted by the adorable pit bull that was there with the Fresno Bully Rescue. I had to leave shortly after. If I had a sign I would have made it in regards to gender equality, pro public breastfeeding, or animal rights. It was really fascinating listening to a fellow student talk about finding their passion. I have never been in a march like that and I found it very empowering.
