Protest March
The protest march went very well. It took place after our tabling event and there were actually a lot of people that participated in it. It was a great experience because I had never been involved in anything like it. I enjoyed it because I felt like I was able to bring even more awareness to my education movement. Before the march, we had to create signs that we would be able to hold during the march. The facts that we used on some of the signs were facts that I had researched for my group. Not only did we make signs that our group held but we were able to make signs that other people who wanted to participate in the march were able to hold as well. This event was great. A lot of people showed great interest. The people that showed interest were able to walk in the march and if they wanted to make their own personal sign to walk with they were able to do so. I think that having an area that allowed people to make their own signs was very beneficial. I also think that it made these individuals feel like they were really a part of our march. For the march, I was able to make a few signs for our group along with being able to hold sign all throughout the march. As a whole, the march went very smoothly. We were able to bring attention to our group and that was pretty cool. Since I have never been a part of anything like this I did not know what to expect but now that I know what it entails I think that I would be willing to participate in one again. The only problem was not being able to read some of the signs because the markers we used were not thick enough. So, for future reference I would use thicker markers so that the posters would be easier to read. I really enjoyed being able to go out and bring even more awareness to our cause. I think that the more we are able to bring awareness to our cause the more people will become involved in our movement.
