The first article talks about the announcement that Japan made about reviving its nuclear energy program weeks away from the third anniversary of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. Meanwhile here in the US the Obama administration has approved 6.5 billion in loans guarantees to back the construction of the country's first new nuclear plant in 30 years regardless of the unexplained leak of radioactive material in New Mexico. The second article talks about a woman who lives in one of the towns that housed the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. She is actively participating in protests against the reopening of such plant. She also states that the prime minister "does whatever he wants to do anyway".http://www.democracynow.org/2014/1/17/we_want_to_fight_for_this
