"Bring Back Our Girls: Nigerians Caught Between Deadly Boko Haram Attacks & Military Reprisals"
In Nigeria a kidnapping of 300 girls has happened and in response people are protesting without stopping. These young girls who were kidnapped were taken on April 14th; they were kidnapped by Islamic military men who randomly showed up at their all girl boarding school. It has been reported that some of the young girls were forced into marrying their kidnapper and others were sold to become brides. Boko Haram has admitted to having full responsibility over what has occurred and has stated that he will continue to sell the girls because he is against Western education. Fortunately 53 of the girls have successfully escaped; however, many girls still remain in captivity getting ready to be forced into marriage. The people whose daughters have been kidnapped will continue to protest and find ways to get them back and the government should get involved and help them.

"After Abuse Under Supervision, Transgender Connecticut Teen Held in Solitary Without Charge"
There is a case of a 16 year old transgender girl in Connecticut who is currently locked up in solitary imprisonment and has been identified as a violent person so she is in the process of being transferred. Being as young as she is, she has been sentenced to prison by a superior court judge and they justified that decision by saying she had violent behavior and they couldn't take proper care of her. However, the 16 year old has stated that she has been sexually and physically abused by DCF staff while being under supervision. This young transgender girl is being sentenced to prison for an invalid reason, fortunately she has a lawyer to fight for her.
