Who's Teaching Us?: Stanford Students Demand Faculty Diversity & Support for Ethnic Studies

In this video, Stanford University students are demanding changes in the diversity of their faculties. The group called "Who's Teaching Us?" that originated in 2014 from Stanford's Asian American Activism Committee has recently issued a list of 25 demands to the Stanford's administration. The list also includes increased diversity among faculty and the curriculum, residential space and other programs that meet the needs of students of color, and divestment from institutions that harm marginalized communities. One of the major theory that this article highlights is resource mobilization, due to the fact that the movement has support from upperclassman, underclassman, freshmen, and sophomores who are actively pushing the demands for change in regards to these issues.

Democracy Awakening: Mass Civil Disobedience Planned on Capitol Hill to Cap Week of 900+ Arrests

In this video, there was a report on arrest of 900 people over the past week on Capitol Hill. This protest is a continuation from last week's organized Democracy Spring civil disobedience protest on influence of big money and corporate lobbying in politics. Within the video Rev. William Barber speaks of the injustice of equal opportunity in voting rights in North Carolina. This injustice has impacted over 300,000 voters from having a chance to vote. This story highlights the theory of framing, because of the usage of evidence in Reverend William Barber's speech about the injustice and the amount of people that were denied voting rights. The reason according to the reverend was because of racial and class attack on democracy.
