March 4th Event/Protest

    Our class for social movement was a part of the March 4th event which was great. My group was Free All Bodies, our intention was to bring awareness on the social issue of Human Trafficking. During the march there were various groups with different social issues some were protesting for food,animal, and equality between men and women rights. Also, before the march began Dr. Kubal got the Raging Grannies to perform, which they performed political songs. I liked how the Raging Grannies performed at the event first because they were able to get the people pumped for the event. The march started at the free speech area and we walked around  campus with our signs throughout the march many of us chanted for our social issue topic. My group would yell out, "Free all bodies" "Stop Human Trafficking." Other groups would yell out "Adopt don't shop" and other groups would yell out "Food for all."  It was awesome being a part of this march because there was a lot of student involvement protesting for different causes.
