This Article was based on Activists across that joined on Mexico City as part of a caravan calling for an end to the U.S.-backed war on drugs. The Political Opportunity behind this event was to make peace, Life and Justice through Honduras last month and has traveled its way to El Salvador, Guatemala and much of Mexico. The resource mobilization was to reach New York City onto a special assembly on drugs next week to prevent people from any age to be involved in drugs. For the framing it was put across by the families of the people who are involved in the drug scene. It is children and women who are the main victims of this criminal war that has seen this become an armed conflict.
Canada: First Nations Community Declares Emergency over Suicide Attempts
This last article was based in Canada, where a small First Nations community has declared a state of emergency after 11 people attempted to commit suicide in just a day. The First Nation in Ontario saw 28 suicide attempts last month within a population of 2,000 people. And 11 attempts on Saturday alone. The political opportunity, any time when it comes to something like suicide is a good time to prevent and to help the person who is going through tough times that is pushing them to commit suicide. The resource mobilization is Canadas First Nations people that suffer from higher levels of poverty, addiction and incarceration. Local Assembly member Charlie Angus said original communities need aid. Non-aboriginal children, all the resources would be in their schools. And the framing is helping anyone who needs it and wants it, sometimes pushing something on someone makes it worse, but when the moment comes of suicides happening 11 times a day, help needs to be the key.
