Survey Heard Around the World

So once again while I was out of the country we had another event except this time I actually participated. Now the title is kind of a joke but we'll get to that later. As for our group, we decided to conduct a survey for our last event. Now it's critical to note that this survey was conducted in such a way that we feel was as unbiased as possible. We really wanted to know how people felt towards animals and in particular their attitude towards meat consumption. Let's not fool ourselves, our group acknowledges that whole heartedly that vegetarianism and maybe even veganism are the real solutions to our issue but that simply doesn't apply to the masses. We framed our questions in such a way that we feel gave our respondents a fair chance at answering questions, which is not something that a lot of surveys do. The results from our survey could be used to gain a better understanding of public opinion and attitude.

Now for the meat and potatoes. I think this was our most unsuccessful event out of the five. I think we could have done a much better job getting many more people involved in our survey. At the end of the day, more people means more respondents. More respondents mean a more accurate depiction of public opinion and attitude. Effectively our respondent pool was our classmates and a few other close friends which is not nearly a wide enough populace to give an accurate depiction. I think we could have gotten involved in social media or better yet actually do the survey around campus. At the end of the day we needed more respondents so we could have better results but never the less we still got great information from our survey results.
