Will 712 Democratic Officials Decide 2016 Election? Uncovering the Secret History of Super Delegates
This story is both interesting and alarming. The democratic party has a system of specific delegates that pick nominees through the early part of the voting process. Meaning they select one nominee and give them a head start by electing them the leader from jump street. Effectively giving one candidate a head start. This is alarming because is takes the power of voting our of the peoples hands and ultimately puts it in the hands of these so called "super delegates" that are comprised of an a super elite class of individuals resulting in a concentration of power which can ultimately be very detrimental to our democracy. If thee allegations are true to its word than a select group of individuals can frame and shape elections as we know it.
Noam Chomsky: Brazil's President Dilma Rouseff "Impeached by a gang of Thieves"
Within the last 15 years there has been a major shift in the politics of South America. 15 years ago the U.S, could easily fund a coup and overthrow any government they so chose, however now, South America has distanced itself from American politics. The situation in Brazil is dire. An elite group of the Brazilian social class has succeeding in framing president Rouseff as a thief. In reality the only accusation against her is fixing budget books which are a common practice amongst governments. Definitely not deserving of impeachment. This is alarming to me because it seems as though elite societal groups have a ton of control over our government. If they can overthrow and wrongfully impeach a president in Brail than it can certainly happen here as well.
