In the first video I watched "Dragnet Nation: Do Google, Facebook Know More Private Info Than NSA and Soviet-Era Secret Police?" It deals with the issues of Internet privacy. Julia Angwin, the investigator and journalist of this issue discusses how this can affect us. She discusses what she first tries to do while using the Internet, and this is to use free search engines, that does not keep record of your search history. She mentions that the most popular search engine Google has the power to save all your search history even when a person has cleared the search on their computer. Julia also mentions the privacy we really don’t have when searching for information online. I was very surprised when she said she did not use Wi-Fi due to the risk of someone near by getting access of your private files and passwords. I never really thought of my privacy being invaded while surfing threw some pages, but its good to know now that I should be more careful. She also mentioned how easy it can be for scammers to break into the web cam of computers.

The second video I watched Drugging America’s Veterans: Painkiller Abuse Spreads as VA Becomes Vets’ "Drug Dealer of Choice" talks about the issues many veterans deal with when coming back from deployment. The video includes the story of a U.S veteran who after coming back from deployment is hospitalized for his wounds but becomes addicted to his pain killer medicines. The U.S veteran, Jeffray Wagoner was released from the Veterans Affair Hospital with nineteen medical presciptions. After checking himself into a hotel he dies of overdosing. The family of Wagoner filed a law suit aggest the Veterans Hospital. I think this is a sad story but it is definelty not the first time this occurs to veterans, many verterans after coming back from deployment are not in the right mindset as before leaving due to their experiences.
