There goes the neighborhood. With cable control of the internet, say good bye to information highway. It is just more capitalism, more money for the already richer than God - the J. D. Rockfeller's of the last twenty years, and no concern for the consumers; again mass commercialism, controlled by a few. The governmental bureaus are not interested in the the public interest as they are voted in; rather they bulldoze more money in their direction and public policy and consumer interests, our voice, goes out the window. I mean, Comcast and Time-Warner are the most hated companies in America, along with AT&T and PG&G; because there is no competition, consumers are forced to pay whatever they tell you to pay. I tell them, do not push me because I am ready to cut the cord. There was an article in the Fresno Bee last summer about the very same subject - cutting the cord.
