On March 4, 2016 I was able to attend a march that was held at Fresno State. I arrived at 12:30 that way I could have the chance to sign up. There seemed to be tables that had different items in each different ones. In one table some people were announcing how some dogs are mistreated and how we should take care of them by adopting. In another table there were students who were creating posters for the people that were there could use the signs for the march. There was also a table full of posters on wood sticks that people could easily choose from. Then it reached like 12:50 and there were exactly 11 Grannies that were going to sing. The way they were dressed was unique they had glasses and hats and had lots of colorful clothes. They only sang four songs in total. There was this one song saying that even though they are old they will still continue to mart and protest until they see some change in the United States. There was another song that they sang that had to use about the uterus because in the legislature someone has got in trouble using the word uterus. It was really fun watching how much energy they had up on stage singing these songs. This proved that they are the kind of people who care on what's happening all over the United States, and they would like to see others to notice that there needs to be a better change for our future. After their performance, everyone seemed to be prepared to start the march. We started from the library and we made our way to the Speech Art Building. Then we passed the Joyal Administration building, heading towards the high school. Went through the parking lots to reach the cement next to the road Shaw. When we reached there we made a right and headed to the corner where the Fresno State sign is located. Then we went passed the Kerman school and the Health Center, going through the Fresno State dorms. From there we made it back into the same location where we started. The students including myself had the opportunity to get snacks and drinks. In general this seemed to be a great experience because we were able to march and focus on what seemed to be the problems for example animal abuse and how we should take care of them by adopting one. Also showing signs that showed everyone deserves equality. It was very fun participating overall.
