Group Event 5/5
Social Media

For our last event, we decided to create a Facebook page dedicated only to our group and social issue Human trafficking. The requirements were to have the page up and running for a month, everyone individually had a week each to post something each day, whether it was facts, pictures, movie clips, and statistics based on Human trafficking. Along with Facebook we could use our personal social medias to promote the page and get people to at least take a glance every now and the and spread the word by a click of a button, so far it has had 104 likes to the page, and people seem to share the link to the mini clips my fellow group members have posted throughout the week. We thought of social media being the easiest for people to get involved, and know what is going on in the world and even in their own city. FAB was created to bring about awareness to an issue that lives in the shadows, to create a voice for the women that do not have one. Along with spreading the word about FAB and what our purpose is, we also linked recovery sites that help women or even men that suffer from human trafficking.
