On March 4th

Being offered extra credit is usually great but this time things were different. The fact is that the extra credit points will be just that; extra because in the end I gained more of an experience than anything.

The ranging grandma's performance was astonishing. The fact that they were older and not afraid to sing the songs they sang made their performance even more wonderful. Plus needless to say the lyrics were phenomenal not only because of the specific wording but the content behind it.

As the time the march approached people began grabbing their sign, bubbles were distributed and of course a fellow student put on the yellow banana suit. With that the march began and the sign were all up and high. As we made our way through the campus many heads were turning in an attempt to read the signs. People would try and stop us and ask us why we are marching. As we started getting to the University High there were cars that would honk as they passed by. The phrase 'when do we want it' and 'now' were maneuvered in throughout the walk. Other phrases like 'don't shop adopt, free our bodies and equality for all' were loud and proud throughout the walk as well.

I had never participated in anything of this sort but I am really glad I did. It defiantly was something different and really quite intriguing. This event got me thinking that I would like to partake in something like this again in the future.
