I was a little skeptical of going to an extra credit opportunity because of varies reason. Not only did I have to study but I had trouble getting someone to cover my shift. At the end of the day I was happy with the decision I made.

As I arrived to the free speech area I recognized a familiar face from class next to the booth full of posters. I signed in and quickly began helping put the posters to a picket. As I was sorting out the posters there were some about-food, animals, equality, and criminal justice. Few of them had statistics and quotes but most of them simply had their cause written out.

There were other booths next to this one with plenty of students to answer the questions of fellow students. The booths also consisted of- food, animals, equality as well as education that were handing out great information regarding their matter. During this time people were socializing, and trying to finish up their poster. Sometime in between I recall a moment where one of the clubs got a individual that came up to their booth and strongly disagreed with what the group was advocating. It honestly made the atmosphere a little tense that it made me imagine how riots and strikes could get.

Attending this event was interesting because I saw how people came together to work on a common cause. I also saw all the work that was needed to get something going. Plus it was interesting to be a part of something that I had never done before.
