1. Obama Administration Considers Assassinating Another American Overseas:

The report on Democracy Now covers the issue of the White House considering the authorization of using a drone to kill a U.S. American who is suspected of being an active member of al-Qaeda. The U.S. government has used this technique 4 times since 2009, and they are acting solely on the suspicion of what these individuals intend to do, not the actions they have previously committed. The name and country in which this suspected individual is residing is being withheld during these debates until the U.S. government decides whether to pursue lethal action. The guidelines used allow the U.S. government to play god and decide who lives or dies based on assumptions rather than convictions. 

2. Meteorologist Jeff Masters: Climate Change Affecting Weather Patterns Regardless of Season:

Director of meteorology at the Weather Underground joins Democracy Now to cover the state of emergencies being declared by governors throughout the U.S. for one outrageous storm crippling places in the south and east of the United States, in places ranging from Louisiana to New Jersey. The Nor-easter storm has caused more than 13 deaths. Jeff covers the varying climate changes or lack there of by the Jet Stream, and questions whether global warming and human activity could be a contributor to abnormal weather patterns. The Jet Stream is stuck on the south part of the U.S., causing the intense ice/snow storm throughout the country, the worst in some places since 2000 causing detrimental power outages affecting more than 550,000 people while places on the west are struggling with a record drought.
