The Protest March

Social activism requires that people participate voluntarily in concert with the goal and ideals of the collective. The movement of injustice of the criminal system goal is to bring justice for people who are affected with the high cost of infraction. About one o'clock we started to get ready for marching with our sign around campus. There were several groups who already had their signs ready and megaphones on hands. Many of the supporters were young energetic people most of them probably students, we got our sings which we had prepared the prior evening. We knew that the march was going to take place during the day and we would be marching around campus. However, my experience of the march was unique, it created the opportunity to talk to other students many of whom were there to support other students in the march. That was the most surprising part of the march, that friends of people in the march would come and march with the group because it shows the power of social networks. The idea that people can support the march and be willing to hold sign and chants slogans such "We want justice! When do we want it?" And the whole bunch of us would scream "NOW" it was the most fun part in the march. We walk in union around the campus, and eventually we got to the sidewalk to the main road. There was plenty of traffic and many of the driver's honked their horns in support to the march. The people got excited and began screaming the message of injustice. Unquestionably, the was strong sentiment of solidarity in numbers. Even if no one has ever experience what is like to be part of something! Marching for a cause or to either help a friend is one the best experience that anyone can be part of. There is a natural energy in groups that can be infectious and empower people with courage to be more than just an individual.
