Black Lives Matter

With all that is going on in the world, one specific topic seems to always catch the eye. #Blacklivesmatter, you would think times like these were left behind when Black people had the right to be treated equally as everyone else, but it all began with higher authority abusing their own power and using violence against any race that was "being a threat to them or society". But in this case action was taken to far and a young man at the age 17 was murdered. People all around the world want action and a response to the hate and discrimination to anti-Black racism that fills our society. If it wasn't for social media site, spreading the word would become difficult, but work can be done. People want a change, a change that can be done without violence, supporter Democratic Senator Cory Booker wants to advocate to help lower number of incarcerations of blacks, everyone can benefit from a movement like this and can make a change for society. The framing behind this, is giving the Black people a reason to be part of society to not be seen as the bad people, because in some ways one group of black people doing wrong on the streets can portray an image for the rest of the black community. For example, it's like theirs two Chicago's "Chicago" and "South side Chicago" where there is large population of blacks, the side where you cannot walk the streets without thinking it's your last day of life. Like I said before we need to give them a reason why things they do reflect for others. And a fact of it is young black men are 14 times more likely to be victims of homicide than any other American. Political opportunity, people knew the way Black people lived and how they took action to certain things, but starting from February 2012 is when Trayvon death occurred and Zimmerman was not charged at the moment but soon did in 2013. Protests and rallies occurred everywhere, maybe not all the violence was necessary but the people who cared for Trayvon just wanted peace and justice being made, but action was being made at the right time. As for the resource mobilization, till this day resource are being used but justice is still being fought for. As I mentioned before social media is the number one resource that can be spread worldwide, for instance twitter making topics trend, and made the whole Trayvon movement pursue. But not only black likes matter, every live matters.
