Chalking

The cause of our group was based on Human Trafficking. Our purpose is to bring awareness in this time of Social movements, although it is not always on the headlines of the day, this movement of Human trafficking is a never ending cycle. And our way of bringing out the awareness was our first activity of chalking on the free speech area on campus. We used different color chalks to bring a pop of color and making it visible so people can be intrigued and soon see themselves reading the facts we drew on the cement. As for my part I drew a clock and beside it wrote" Every thirty seconds someone becomes a victim of Human Trafficking" and between me and two other girls in the group we wrote the same message in different fonts "Stop Human Trafficking" We wanted to make sure every square of pavement the message was not being missed. My classmates wrote stats on human trafficking, Alice did a bar graph on how many girls per day get trafficked, that was one of our bold eye openers it wasn't hard to miss. A little half way through our process in finishing, fellow students from the class were asking what was our main purpose, do men get abducted also? And we were more than happy to answer their questions. As students were coming out of the Library, they seemed to be interested in the cause. Fir chalking being our first assignment, It was an easy task that brought awareness to everyone's cause from S.N.A.R.L to "Food for all". People can get involved there is always a time and place to make one cause to another known.
