This episode of democracy now talks about a Showtime series called years of living dangerously. The show has all the suspense of a Hollywood blockbuster. The show stars several well known actors. Harrison Ford and Matt Damon. These actors travel the world to investigate the horrors that have been occurring in our environment. Actors also investigated businesses that had to shut down due to droughts. Even the famous Arnold Schwarzenegger joins an elite team to battle a fire. The show tells the stories of real people affected by environmental climate change. This new series will air on Showtime April 13, 2014. The chief science advisor Joe Romm speaks about his experiences with James Cameron and the making of Living Dangerously. James Cameron was doing research when he felt that making a TV series about climate change would be ideal. Later two 60 minutes producers interviewed Joe Romm and he explained how he wanted to go on with the idea.

Can Any Court Hold U.S. Accountable for Killing Americans Overseas with Drone Strikes

A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit challenging the killings of three Americans by drone strikes. The three families tried suing for unlawful killings. According to a lawyer the victims constitutional rights were never violated. Therefore the officials involved cant be held accountable. Maria Lahood explains the significance of the court. She is the center for constitutional rights. It is understood that it was granted to kill terrorist suspects away from any war area without due process. Even if the suspect didnt pose an imminent threat. The claim in the area of national security was refused. This is thought by many as a violation of the constitution. It was also thought that this particular case the courts would be sympathetic but once again they were not. The families have been through a lot. Sons and grandsons have been gruesome killed one being a sixteen year old born in Denver.
